Louis Blair is the former head of the Truman Foundation. At his annual success seminar on the UA campus, Dr. Blair hosts workshops for students applying for prestigious awards including the Rhodes, Marshall, Mitchell, Gates-Cambridge, Truman, and Pickering. Additionally, he holds an information session on service learning opportunities like Teach for America and AmeriCorps.
Each spring, The Office of Nationally Competitive Awards recognizes state and national award recipients and their mentors at an annual reception of UA faculty, staff, and students.
