The Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) offers talented college graduates the opportunity to renew and transform Catholic school classrooms through their Teaching Fellows program. ACE teachers form a select cohort of the nation's top emerging Catholic school teachers and leaders, and through ACE's innovative instructional model, they develop the skills and knowledge necessary to serve some of the most under-resourced schools in the United States.

The ACE M.Ed. intensively prepares teachers by integrating graduate level coursework with an immersion teaching experience. Throughout their two years teaching in under-resourced Catholic schools, ACE teachers earn a cost-free Master of Education degree from the University of Notre Dame. The William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service in India, a program of the America Indian Foundation, is an immersive, 10-month volunteer service program matching young professionals with development organizations. Fellows work on scalable and sustainable development projects in the fields of education, livelihoods, technology and innovation, and public health. Through collaboration and capacity-building, Fellows, mentors, and civil society leaders form dynamic partnerships to capacity-build, exchange knowledge and skills, and share a mutual passion for advancing social and economic development. Fellows serve on an annual basis from September to July with development organizations across India.

AmeriCorps programs provide opportunities for Americans to make an intensive commitment to service. The AmeriCorps network of local, state, and national service programs engages more than 80,000 Americans in projects around the nation each year. The Corporation for National & Community Service administers the AmeriCorps program, which focuses its efforts in six key areas: disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and veterans and military families. AmeriCorps serves these constituencies through three programs: (1) AmeriCorps State and National, the broadest network of AmeriCorps programs, which recruits, trains, and places AmeriCorps members to meet critical community needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment; (2) AmeriCorps (Volunteers in Service to America), which provides full-time members to nonprofit, faith-based, and other community organizations, and public agencies to create and expand programs that bring low-income individuals and communities out of poverty; and (3) AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps), a full-time, team-based, residential program for men and women ages 18–24. The Jewish Service Corps is a one-year program uniting work for social change, Jewish learning, and community building. Each year, AVODAH recruits people in their 20s from across the United States and Canada to spend a year working on urban poverty issues as full-time employees in local non-profit organizations. During their year of service, participants live and study together, forming a community of people making a connection between social activism and Jewish life. The Boston Teacher Residency (BTR) is an innovative program in urban education that combines graduate coursework toward a master's degree in Education with a full year of co-teaching under the guidance of an experienced Mentor Teacher before placement as a full-time teacher in the Boston Public Schools (BPS). BTR is a four-year commitment, with graduates receiving formal support and professional development for their first three years of teaching in the BPS. Modeled after medical residencies, teacher residencies immerse candidates in the immensely complex field of teaching, learning with and from experienced mentors.

Breakthrough Collaborative strives to increase academic opportunity for highly motivated, underserved students and get them into college ready to succeed, and to inspire and develop the next generation of teachers and education leaders. The program has 24 affiliate sites across the country and one in Hong Kong that collectively serve over 5,000 middle school students and over 1,000 teaching fellows each summer. The National Teaching Fellowship is a unique, two-year professional and leadership development program. The Fellowship is a paid service program that offers a diverse range of experiences to people of varied backgrounds who have high potential as educators and leaders in the non-profit sector. The Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF) offers the opportunity to work in France for 7 months, teaching English to French students of all ages. Each year, over 1,100 American citizens and permanent residents teach in public schools across all regions of metropolitan France and in the overseas departments of France such as French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and Réunion. TAPIF is a joint initiative of the French Ministry of Education, the Centre international d’études pédagogiques (CIEP), and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy. The program's goal is to strengthen English-language instruction in French schools by establishing a native speaker presence, while also providing American Francophiles with excellent teaching experience and first-hand knowledge of French language and culture.

Modeled after the Peace Corps, the Mississippi Teacher Corps (MTC) is a two-year program that trains non-education majors to teach in high-poverty public schools in Mississippi. In addition to teaching, participants earn a Master of Arts Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Mississippi. During the school year, all the MTC participants teach in critical-needs school districts in Mississippi and attend graduate classes at the University of Mississippi. The MTC also offers the Mississippi Teacher Fellowship, designed as an innovative partnership to address Mississippi's teacher shortage. The purpose of the program is to attract qualified teachers to the critical teacher shortage areas of Mississippi. The North American Language and Culture Assistants Program is an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain to provide North American students who are native speakers of English or French with the opportunity to assist teachers in the English or French programs in elementary, secondary or language schools in Spain (12 to 16 class periods a week). The program is addressed to US and Canadian university students--majoring in any subject--and graduates, with some proficiency in Spanish. Students will spend a full academic year in Spain, typically from the beginning of October through the end of May. Preferred placement in different Spanish regions can be requested.

The New Teacher Project (TNTP) is a national nonprofit committed to ending the injustice of educational inequality. TNTP Teaching Fellows is a rigorous alternative certification program that recruits and trains talented career changers and recent college graduates to be outstanding teachers in high-need schools across the country.
